    Utilizing SBS 2003 w-IE-8

Hello, Utilizing SBS 2003 SP2 w-IE8. -->"Receiving this error in IE when
trying to reach web pages -->

    szAppName : iexplore.exe szAppVer : 8.0.6001.18702
    szModName : msrating.dll szModVer : 8.0.6001.18702 offset : 0001c4a7
The instruciton at ""0x6341c4a7"" referenced memory at ""0x00000000""/ The
memory could not be ""read"" Click OK to terminate the program / click on
    cancel to debug the program"..<--

This just started over the last two days as I was using IE6, upgraded to SP2
& it would blow-up & close every time I would put in a new site URL. It
seemed that I could bring up older sites that were already in favorites.
Very particular! .. I then upgraded to IE8 thinking it would resolve the
issue but though it does not crash any more & recovers the previous page
(which is blank,) I still cannot get out to visit new sites & most of my
history & cookies were deleted & cleared in IE6 so when update took place it
    still clear!

Please any advise other than reloading the entire OS & all programs would be
    greatly appreciated…. JimBAgde

My first question to you is, why in the WORLD are you browsing from your
server in the first place?!?!?!? DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But to answer your question, I'd guess it is very likely a conflict with an
add-on and some other piece of software on your server. Since servers
aren't usually browsed from, odd incompatibilities with software packages
and normal add-ins like adobe flash and adobe reader can crop up that don't
ever show up on client machines. Usually a server would not have these
add-ins installed in the first place so when they do show up, they are
difficult to pinpoint or get a lot of feedback on.

    Good luck,

    -Cliff
