According to your description, I understand that:
The VBS script that map network drives fails on the Windows Vista clients.
If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.
There is a known issue that UAC may prevent the Windows Vista from access
the network locations. You may try to add the "EnableLinkedConnections"
registry to check how it works.
After you turn on User Account Control in Windows Vista, programs may be
unable to access some network locations
