SBS 2008 and Windows Server 2003/Terminal Server

I've seen many posts about having a second server act as a Terminal
Server using Server 2008. However, we have one client who doesn't
want to buy another license of Server 2008 and instead, wants to use
their existing Server 2003 Standard license.

Is this possible? If so, can I still join the server to the domain
using http://connect? This worked pretty flawlessly in SBS 2003 land.

    Thanks much.

Well, you can certainly join a Server 2003 computer to the domain. You'll
have to do it manually, the http://connect site doesn't work for Servers.
However, that being said, Server 2003 is a pretty limiting terminal server.
I'd _far_ rather have Server 2008 for a huge variety of reasons, but most
    especially for TS RemoteApps.

RE: SBS 2008 and Windows Server 2003/Terminal Server

    Hello,

    Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that:

You want to know whether it is possible to add a Windows Server 2003
Terminal Server in the SBS 2008 domain. If yes, how.

If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Yes, it is possible to add a Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server in the SBS
2008 domain. However, in SBS 2008 ConnectComputer wizard no longer supports
to join a Windows Sever. You will have to manually join the Windows Server
2003 server into the domain in Control Panel.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know

    Best regards,

    Miles Li
