Some problems with accessing the SBS website:
#1) Browsing the SBS server from internal with http://sbsserver or
http://sites.<IntName>.local, I get the IIS7 Welcome screen. Shouldn't I get
redirected to the SMS 2008 login?
#2) using secure https://sbsserver or http://sites.<IntName>.local, I get
'security certificate does not match...' I can 'Continue to this website (not
recommended)' but then I get 'Server Error 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.'
#3) has 'companyweb' been abandoned? I can see the url as a host header
under SBS Web Applications in IIS, but no entry in DNS. Site not found.
#4) browsing (from internal) to the public side FQDN, https://office.<FQDN>,
I get the error with 'certificate does not match...' I can 'Continue to this
website (not recommended)' and I do get to the SBS 2008 login page. How do I
accept the certificate as trusted?
#5) when browsing http://office.<FQDN> from an internal address, why I am
being redirected to the https site, and therefore confounded by the
certificate warnings? Can't I just skip SSL when browsing from internal
(like older version of SBS IIS)?
#6) in IIS, is there a purpose to Site #1 'Default Web Site'? It seems the
only content is that IIS 7 Welcome page, and I would rather have no-purpose
sites not running.
This is a brand new SBS 2008 Std. install, I walked through all the wizards
in the SBS Console. Browsing from an internal machine (stand-alone Server
2008 R2 with IE8).
Thanks much in advance!!!
