Good luck getting any help. No MVP's have answered my Sharepoint question
    either.

MVP's are but one source of answers. Have you (both) looked at the following
to see if it meets your needs?

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc288402.aspx

Back up a farm by using SQL Server Tools (Windows SharePoint Services 3.0)

Re: SBS 2008 Sharepoint 3 Automatic Backups?

Kevin, my question was different and it didn't get answered but it has to
    with Sharepoint 3.0
I have new install of sbs2008 (no updates) and I go to create a new Web
    application in Sharepoint 3.0.
It says it's created successfully. Then I ran iisreset /no force. Then I
open up Internet Explorer and go to the new site and it says:
    Http 404 not found.
I don't even have a clue as where to start troubleshooting.
    Please advise and thanks.

I didn't see your previous post, but often sharepoint questions are
addressed by others with greater sharepoint skills than I.

If your original post is still active you might want to bump it up with a
reply to your own post and if you hadn't included details such as where you
created the new site from ( Sharepoint Central Administration?) and what the
resultant url is consider adding it and I or others will attempt to address
    the problem.
