Edit the companyweb in SBS 2003

I am going to attempt to use the companyweb from SBS 2003 as a template
for an internal website at my present company. I have used Sharepoint
sites before and think many of the features will be very effective here.
My first problem is that I would like to reconfigure several of the
pages to include or exclude portions of the page to create a situation
where we walk before we run. I can change the logo on the default.aspx
just by clicking on it. I would like to do several other edits, some on
content/terminology and some on graphics/pictures. The first thing I
want to change however is the color scheme. Our company default colors
are red white and black. We incorporate this into everything. Is it
possible to change that on all of the pages in the web site? Finally,
where the heck are the actual pages stored? I have seen the images but
not the pages. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Site settings, and for your colors, a site theme of reflector or obsidian
might be a starting point unless your ready to create a custom theme

    Hello vavs,

Thanks for your post and kj's input.

There is no official document for customizing your companyweb on SBS server, you can try kj's suggestion to look at the Settings and select Customization, then select a theme
as you like and apply. All the configurations are stored in STS_Config.mdf and STS_Config_log.LDF database.

In addition, here are some similar articles for your information:

Thank you both for the reply. I am working through the tutorial and
finding it very easy to manipulate. There are parts of the site that
are able to be customized and others that don't appear to be. If I can
follow up with two specific questions, how do you create your own theme
colors? The closest theme to our corporate theme is too dark to be
useful. Second, can I change the icons associated with the home page,
documents etc? I have a small version of our logo that I would like to
use in place of the "house" icon for the home page.

    Hi vavs,

    Thanks for your update.

Please locate to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\60\template" folder, all the companyweb files are stored in this folder like IMAGES
and THEMES. For example, you can go the IMAGES folder and replace the HOME.GIF with yours as you like.

    Hope it helps.
