When we try and send external email, we are getting this error.



There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server.
Please contact your system administrator.

To my knowledge there is no relay limit.

Any ideas.

Are you sending your outgoing e-mail through a smart host that might have a
daily limit?

Is this happening with all outgoing mail, or just messages to a particular
domain?

There is no relay involved. I will check the ISP to see if they have a
limit.

What Dave means is, do you relay your outbound mail through your ISP's
mail server as a smarthost?

If you were sending out directly you would not be receiving this
message.
