    Time Shift

We are having problems with 1 hour time shifting of appointments with
    connected devices to our servce.

We are running SBS 2003 with Exchange. The time on the server and the
attached workstations are all the same. When entering an appointment in
Outlook the time is fine. However when a mobile device (we are using iphones,
nokia's and sony mobiles) is connected some of the appointments on the mobile
devices jumps forward 1 hour. This is not a common problem with people using
the same mobile device (iphone) getting different results (one has the time
    shift problem another person doesn't).

The time shift relates only to the mobile device, not the appointment on the
    workstation.

i have checked the server and workstations to see if daylight saving
settings have been adjusted but came up blank.

    Thanks for your help.

What service pack level is Exchange, and what Windows Mobile version number?
I remember there is an issue with WM 5.0 and possibly the earlier WM 6.0
versions. You will need to apply the DST update to the WM devices if appts
    are skewed by an hour.

Please read the following for more information. The first link provides
specifics with the others providing more info on the DST WM update.

Does this include checking that they are all in the same timezone?

    Brian,

I would think that the time zones are relative to the observer and the
machine's locale, where the system uses GMT- your time zone.

Agreed. Which is why if their time zones are different two people might see
different times. So since the OP has time shifting forward 1 hour on the
mobile devices, then if the time zone of the mobile device is one hour
different to that of the workstations then that might account for the
observed time jump/difference. Hence my suggestion.

I see. Good point. I was *assuming* the handheld and server are in the same
    time zone.
