Hello Tim,
Thanks for your post and Russ' suggestion.
Agree with Russ that checking the SBSsetup.log is always necessary.
Based on research and experience, this issue may occur when customers was attempting to create users and it was failing during the creation of the user account. When
selecting one of the three wizards below Administrator's may receive the
following error:
"The Windows SBS Console feature is not setup correctly"
a. Add A New User Account
b. Add Multiple User Accounts
c. Change User Role for User Accounts
If you look in the SBS Console Users and Groups > User Roles Tab you will also notice that all User Rules are missing. This issue can occur when the default user role
accounts SBS creates are ENABLED instead of DISABLED.
To fix this issue:
1. Open the SBSUsers OU within Active Directory Users and Computers.
2. Disable the following accounts by right clicking and selecting Disable Account
-Network Administrator
-Standard User
-Standard User with administration links
Once the accounts are disabled the Users Roles should reappear within the SBS console. If so, please try to run Add a New User Account wizard again to test. BTW, please
check MyBusiness OU name and make sure it is "MyBusiness" literally instead of anything else.
Hope this helps. Also, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
Robbin Meng(MSFT)
