Checking to see if a setup will work before setting it up for a customer
that currently has no email server.

A parent company in New York handles the email for many small franchise
organzations around the world. Everyone uses the same email domain . . .
lets say @dg.com. Its a Domino server in NY but all of the users in my
clients office use POP3 in Outlook to send and receive mail from the NY
system.

Question 1. Mail Flow if we install a local SBS 2008: Our email addresses
at this office have have to remain unchanged after installing the SBServer
( user@newsgroup ). We are wondering if it will work for sure to use POP3
connector to download the mail for our 20 users to SBS2008. Our outbound
mail would go direct to the recipient's MX. Replies and other inbound would
go to New York. This works right ?

Question 2. Is the POP3 connector a reliable soluton for 20 users from a
single remote server ? Are POP3 pulls staggered or do the all hit at once
etc. The only obvious issue is the delay in getting inbound email based on
the interval used for pulling from NY.

(Under no circumstance can we use a different email domain) I will check
with the NY outfit to make sure this doesn't violate their usage policy.
