    New SBS 2008 install problems

ok, I might be late to the game but this is my first SBS 2008 install in
a production environment for a customer.

The setup is one SBS2008 box and 4 Windows 7 pro PCs. The http://connect
    wizard has two problems:
Doesn't see a local account to migrate over
If you continue anyway then it fails after the first reboot complaining
about an incorrect password for the _sbs... setup account.

    Anyone seen this ?

    Thanks
    Simon

Use the selection where you are logging in as the admin and assigning a
    user.

Neither option shows the local account to migrate over though ?

Is this local user an admin or a non admin?

The user is the only one on the PC and is a local admin.
I can get round the local user selection problem, the _sbsnet... wizard
stopping because it is failing on the password issue is more of a
problem as it is leaving a lot of things messed up. I really don't want
to use a manual join to the domain as I've always followed "use the
    wizards" approach

In the case of SBS 2008 a manual join only bypasses the move profile
wizard. Everything else is pushed out via Group policy so you won't
lose anymore than what you are losing now.

When you join the domain, use the "set this up for another user" log in
as a domain admin, assign the user. What happens when you do it then.

I'll try this when I'm next on site. Thanks for the heads up on what the
wizard does, worst case is I just use easy transfer to get all the
settings and do a manual join.
    Will let you know.
    Thanks Simon
