Hey everyone.

I have a problem with my SharePoint 3.0 installation on a SBS 2008 premium
in use (after swing migration from SBS 2003).

Problem description:

I can't open the central administration site anymore. When I try to open the
central administration http://servername:24449/ I get an http 404 error.
I realized the problem when I tried to fix the Windows SharePoint Services 3
Search error Events ID 2424 an 2436 (Gatherer error).



As far as I could find solutions, they all need access to central
administration website sooner or later. So I searched for information on
fixing the access to central administration 3.0 first or for reinstalling
SharePoint from scratch. But I just found solution for SBS 2003 to reinstall
SharePoint not for SBS 2008. I can't rebuild the SBS Server itself, because
it's in production.

Any help in regaining access to my SharePoint site is greatly
appreciated!

Have you made sure update rollup 3 of SBS is installed?

Updaterolleup 3 for Windows SBS 2008 (KB 969121) is installed on the server.
