If you give us more details, we will try to help you here. The lists are
not exclusive. I suggest you start a new thread with a new post, with a
title something like:
SBS 2008 - No Incoming Mail -
Then list some of the errors you are seeing, and some of the diagnostic steps
you have made.
Before doing so, you might want to do some diagnosis steps:
Make sure the exchange services marked "automatic" are running
carefully run the internet connection wizards again
make sure your edge device forwards port 25 to your SBS
verify your ISP does not block port 25 on your class of service
From a station in the network, check if the server responds:
telnet server_ip 25
if so then:
telnet server_name 25
From a remore station try the same, and if it responds try:
telnet mail.domain_name.ext
you can use the following sites to check your exchange server:
https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ http://mxtoolbox.com/ http://dnsstuff.com
See if you can get a copy of an NDR and post up its contents. They can be
very helpful.
One we have more information, we can be of more help. Or, once you go through
the steps, you may find the answer jumps out to you.
