    Hi Terry,

    Unfortunatuly, no.

    Lots of answers here:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sbs/cc817589.aspx

    including this:

What are the requirements for joining desktop clients to the domain?

Clients must be running Windows Vista RTM or Windows XP with Service Pack
    2. The Connect Computer wizard requires .NET Framework 2.0 and will prompt
you to install it if it is not present.

Note that MS normally does not update such documentation when newer OSs are
made available, hence no reference to Windows 7.

They may be able to login but connect computer will not work because
..Net 2.0 is needed and GPO's will possibly not work.

You are better of with Windows 7 imho.

Just curious, is it a matter of turning off SMB signing like we had to do
with SBS2003 to access DOS or 3.1 clients?

If we did switch to SBS2008 I would still need access (possibly) for ancient
DOS and 3.1 machines (believe it or not).
