How to Remove Active Attribute from Non-Boot Device?

I have a Windows Server system with a boot device with one C: partition
(Active) and a second device with one D: partition. The problem is the D:
partition is marked "Active". I would prefer to have the D: partition not
be an Active partition. How can I turn off this attribute?
