A "No long servers are available" can indicate a misconfigured trust, DNS,
or NetBIOS. When one connects from one domain to a trusted domain's
resource, the authentication request will use pass-through authentication
from the connecting user's DC to the DC of the other domain. This is all
based on NetBIOS.
This could also be a browser service issue, since direct connections work
(UNC or mapped drives), but connecting through a browsed resource doesn't.
Are you using WINS oin both domains, and have a WINS replication partnership
between the WINS servers?
Any errors in the event logs on any of the DC?
