Sounds like a DNS issue. Post an ipconfig /all of the remaining DC and the
client machine, please, to better evaluate what's going on. Also, please
post any Event log errors (eventID#).
Check DNS for the old DC's references for the LdapIpAddress (the 'same as
parent), the A record, and any SRV records including the GcIpAddress entry.
Also check Sites and Services for the old DCs reference.
