Windows 2003 server - audit deleted files

i wish to keep track on deleted files

as i know, i have to set
    1. policy
    2. folder property

yes, i do have log on deleted files on that foder

however, i find many logs from administrator on accessing objects, not the
    folders/files which i set.

    is it in order?

i just wish to log on deleted files.

    thanks.

    tony

Re: Windows 2003 server - audit deleted files

Just in case anybody searches for this (as I did) and still needs help turning on (and off!) auditing on Win2003/2008/Vista/7, it's a bit more complex than previous versions.

Have a look at Auditing access to a file on Vista « Scott's code and other ponderings… for how-to and best practise.
