    Ram configs

    Hello,

    We buy HP Servers DUo Core and now Quad Core
    can I run server 2003/2008 64 bit on these?
    if I can go 64 (standard edition) can I go above 4gb RAM ?
    I notice my Windows Media Kit( server 2008) comes with both 32/64 bit version
    will the install key work on both or did you have to specifically order the
    64 bit version and then have to use a key that is specific tothe 64 bit
    version in order to install the 64bit one ?

    What model is it ? DL380 G6 ? This depends on the processor and chipset but
    generally all new servers (dual/quad) supports x64 architecture. and finally
    this can be confirmed by your hardware vendor = HP.

    Yes -> Standard edition max 32GB and enterprise/datacenter max 2TB RAM !

    not sure here, as we are using VL/MAK medias. But as far as I can remember
    these are 2 separate DVD's. Boot it ... :-)

    Hope that helps
