General Webcam Software Suggestions

Hello all. I'm looking for a good free program I can use with my Webcam. I have a Lifecam VX-6000, and with the latest drivers (found online) I am still unable to adjust the framerate, so it stayes locked at around 4fps. The framerate can go higher, and I have been able to change the framerate when using ustream's little applet to broadcast.
I've tried SuperWebcam and ManyCam, but I can't get past the install, they don't seem meant for a 64-bit machine. Does anyone know of any free programs that let me adjust my webcam's framerate, which will also work with the 64-bit version of Vista Home Premium? Thanks. :)

There is a another program that does work with Vista64, as we have used it. Try Webcamamx. Alternatively (my preferred method) is to feed a an A/V signal from my camera into a TV tuner. This keeps my processor load to a minimum and allows conventional video manipulation methids to be used. Check out the Ustream Users Community Forum on Ustream..

I was able to find a work around to the framerate problem by increasing the USB Bandwidth. WebcamMax installed and ran really smoothly, though most of the features hardly justify the $30 price tag. Still, maybe it's the only way to go. The ability to have text overlays and broadcast what's displayed on the desktop is pretty cool. Does anyone have any other suggestions for programs that can do advanced things like this?
