| Vista Ultimate x64 MAK, OpenSolaris 5, Gentoo 2008.1.... | Re: Short List of Utilities for Vista Bah! He joined after me :P And you weren't stepping on my toes, I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew that it was not the full version that you were getting. The features that are included with that version are not crippled, but it does not include *all* features of the full version. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | Re: Short List of Utilities for Vista I've used this in the past with XP. Just looked at their web site and see that they have it now working with Vista: Anonymous Web Surfing I let the subscription expire after the first year because I really didn't need that level of anonymity or privacy... but some others here might... |

| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Re: Short List of Utilities for Vista Brink, take a look at this and see if it has some appeal. I added a Monitor Option to my FavesSA launcher that cooperates with MRO most recently opened folder utility. The same background process that updates the MRO task tray app will also send a message to FavesSA if it sees its window. So now instead of having to right click the Tray Icon to open one recent folder, you can leave FavesSA open or minimized to the tray and it will scroll up the list of recent folders. Much more convenient to select multiple folders to reopen. Plus you can just let the list build up, then cut out unwanted entries, and save to a file. That cuts out the need to drag & drop a bunch of folders onto the program to populate the listbox. I had to make some changes that break backward compatibility so if you use MRO 5.3 you should update FavesSA to 3.4 and Faves should be updated to version 3.3 or later. MRO 5.3 FavesSA 3.4 Eventually I hope to update Faves with the same Monitor option but catching WM_COPYDATA messages in C# is a much bigger PITA than doing it in Delphi 5. ![]() Let me know what you think. | Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Re: Short List of Utilities for Vista I upgraded FavesSA to no longer need MRO. It installs its own folder monitor. Cleaner design with no write to a temporary file. Just sends a Windows Message. Toggle of monitor option loads/kills the monitor exe. The nice thing about the Faves Stand Alone version is it's done in Delphi 5 so it should run on anything from Win98 2nd ed. to Vista. FavesSA 3.5 |
