Registry Cleaner

Hi it seems that in my Vista Home Premium it has a Registry Cleaner built in as a trial period , i don't know much about this subject and was wondering should i buy the one installed or is it worth looking for a free one i did download CC cleaner which was free does that do the same job any advice would be appreciated

I would give CCleaner a try. Freeware and has a function to make a .reg file as a backup before "fixing registry issues." Also before using any registry cleaner you can back up with ERUNT freeware. It has a nice AutoBack.exe utility included that you can set up to make a rotating week of registry backups(doesn't have to be a week but I find it convenient.) I set up the shortcut for AutoBack in the startup folder and forget about it.


I've been using ERUNT for years on many versions of Windows and I haven't seen it fail. Very nice tool to have(included on many "rescue boot disks")
