iTunes not working

iTunes not working

I recently had to do a clean install of vista (my hard drive stopped working) and so I had to reinstall all my software. Well I have two versions of iTunes on my computer (x86 and x64 versions) and I've installed the x64 version and i get this error message whenever I try to start up iTunes, but it installs with no problem.

So I then tried the x86 version and I get the same thing.... any ideas?

AMD Athlon 64X2 6000+ @ 3.2GHz \ 4Gb(2 x 2Gb) G.Skill DDR2 6400 \ ASUS CROSSHAIR MB \ 300Gb 7200RPM SATA HD \ MSI 8800 Ultra \ 680W PSU \ Windows Vista x64 SP1

I'd remove the x86 version. They may be conflicting with each other. The x64 one works fine.

HP tx2000z laptop, Vista Home Premium 64 SP1, AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-68 2.4GHz, NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150, 4GB Transcend 667Mhz RAM, 8 cell battery.

Problem Solved!
1. Uninstalled EVERYTHING made by apple on my computer
2. Downloaded quicktime separately and installed
3. Installed iTunes x64
4. Ran Disk Defrag (Just in case)
5. Started up iTunes with no errors
Still don't understand it but it works so I won't complain.
