Re: DVD maker shuts down computer

actually I may have figured out what has been causing all this...
some codecs I have installed for the media player had made my cpu go much slower then before and it seems it made the computer overheat and turn off by itself...

ever since I uninstalled those codecs everythin was ok!

A simple Codec install should not be over heating your CPU - you should check out your heatsink and make sure it is firmly attached to your CPU.

However, I will also say this - no codec package has worked for me satisfactorily like the Vista Codec package from Shark007. See Vista Codec Pack - 32bit & 64bit Media Player Codecs

Re: DVD maker shuts down computer

well guess what Ive managed to burn a dvd successfully without problems but when I tried to burn another dvd it shut down itself again...

So I guess its my power supply that overheates and makes the cpu shut down for no reason!

I dont really know what to do any suggiestions by anyone?

There has to be a way to burn dvds like I used to a few months before
