| Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Re: unknown programs I did do a Google search but came up with a lot of mumbo jumbo that I couldn't make heads or tails of. Some referred to applications that might be installed on my computer. I do have one or two items that were mentioned but I could not verify if that was exactly what it was. I was just wanting to make sure that I did not delete something that I might need or an application needed that may make my computer crash and burn. I was thinking some of you guys might know off hand and could refer some quick advice as to what one should do. Thanks. |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: unknown programs Sorry Bassfisher, none of them look familiar to me. I would not delete them to be on the safe side. Instead, run a thorough scan with Spybot Search & Destroy and your antivirus program to check for any malware. If any of those files are, it should show up in the scan to be removed. Hope this helps, Shawn |

| Vista Ultimate x64 MAK, OpenSolaris 5, Gentoo 2008.1.... | Re: unknown programs Let's put it this way- is you use anti virus programs and anti malware program and nothing is popped up as malicious, then you're better off leaving those programs alone. But, if you're more than suspicious still, submit the files for analysis *one by one* to Virus Total and see what they say. |
