Hi,

Im currently using cowon jet audio(latest version 7.1) on my laptop and pc, both computers are running vista home premium with the exception being the laptop on 32 bit and my main pc running 64 bit version.

the media players works fine on my laptop in 32 bit no probs at all, but on my main pc its installs fine will play any individual file fine but the problems start when i try to group several files together to play as an an album. it tells me there was an error loading the skin file and i should try either another skin or search the web for new skins. (i have tried this and it doesnt work) ive also tried running in compatible mode with xp and no luck. unfortunatly cant seem to find anyone else who has had this problem so hoping maybe someone can help here

also just interested to know if anyone is running jet audio in 64 bit vista with no problems?

cheers

Welcome to the Vista forums rowster99.

My ultimate fix for Jetaudio was completely removing it and using Winamp. But to fix your problem, the latest version is 7.1.1. You might try upgrading to the latest release. It should be Vista 64 compatible, if you still don't get any joy try removing it entirely, run Ccleaner, reboot, reinstall and see if that does it. If that still doesn't work you might try their support/FAQ ~ COWON America

Hey Locoeng,

thanks for your response!

funny you should say about winamp because thats exactly what ive installed to replace jet audio though im still using that to view my movies. the version im using is the latest 7.1.1 (missed the other 1 off in my last post) and i did unistall, run ccleaner as well no joy!. It isnt vital that i get this fixed as winamp seems like a good player i suppose i just hate not being able to fix software issues on my pc lol kinda grinds if you know what i mean. Well ill try unistalling it again and see what happens in the mean time i may try the cowon forums. Also just incase anyone else reads this and has encounted a simular problem im still open to suggestions

thanks again Locoeng

Yes and like i said i think its a good player just prefer jet audio, Heres a weird thing, if i open up winamp and add files to a play list when i right click on the file i am adding i suddenly get all the options for jet audio back and am able o select multiple files and play them no worries with jet audio though this still wont work when i simply go into my music and try to do the same thing(??????????????????)
lol 64 bit vista is good and fast but you would think they would be able to fix silly little bugs like this by now unless there is a check box i am unaware of that has to be ticked to solve this?

I don't think this is a Vista issue.
