Vista - Dreamweaver CS3 probs

Hello Alll

Not sure if this is correct area to post.

I have dreamweaver CS3 when opening the file, it always get stuck on initilizing files, it will not open.. have no problem with any of my other CS3 programmes.. I also cannot use my Netobjetcs 10 or dreamweaver 8.. XP no problem.

Can anyone point me the right way to find a solution. I have vista home premium

Is is a torrent or legal version?

I bought it in Thailand, so could of been a torrent not sure. I have tried to down load a trial but I have bluetooth mobile as no adsl where I live, being new to dreamweaver and have been learning, did not want to spend a lot of money and not be able to use it..

So by your question, if this is a torrent, I expect there is a problem with Vista and this? XP no problemt at all.. Dreamweaver 8, belongs to a friend..

If you bought it in Thailand for a low price then it probably is a rip but thats not to say there is a compatibility problem with your OS. I have Vista Ultimate and Dreamweaver CS3 works fine. It might be a problem with the exe or app files. If you have the bandwidth it might be worth downloading the trial off the adobe website and trying that out.

The worst that can happen is the trial works and you find out you have wasted some money or you find a compatibility issue with your OS. Either way you are going to lose respect for vista or lose money. Thats my 2 cents...

I may have to go to internet cafe then and put on memory stick.. bluetooth is so slow good enough for emails and getting into sites but for downloading not good..

Although they may not appreciate issues with an illegal copy - if indeed that's what you have.

I have tried to install Dreamweaver cs3 on my PC acer extensa 5620z, running Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I do not get any wrong messages during the installation - all is sucessfully installed. Every time I try to open the program after the installation, it gets stuck on initilizing files". I have also tried "selective startup mode" before installing Dreamweaver, but with no luck... Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash CS3 runs normal...I can not figured out what to do... so, PLEASE ANYONE..OUT THERE!!
CAN YOU HELP ME??

Perhaps its something to with acer, as I also have an acer laptop.. I done a full recovery and downloaded the trial from Adobe, but it is doing the same thing.. gets stuck at initializing files..

At last....For me the solution was to change the operating system from Vista Home Premium to Vista Ultimate...(it works also in Vista Business) VERY STRANGE - BUT IT WORKS NOW..! I hope this can help others in the same situation...
