Vista - Runtime error

While booting up my quattro pro program, the screen pops up a message: runtime error, abnormal program termination. What gives? It has been working, even earlier this morning.

Have you installed anything today?

Also do you use Windows One Care?

Thanks for the reply. No, I haven't installed anything in the last several days. The only thing I have done is to save three Quattro Pro files to a flash drive and run an anti-spyware program.

Does this antispyware program check for unwanted programs?

I don't know whether it does or not. This is maddening as I have stuff on my spreadsheet I need.

Is the program trying to load a file off the flash drive. If you can't fix, why not reinstall?

Thanks for the reply. I re-installed the entire WordPerfect Office 12 program from CD and I still get the same 'runtime error.'

I have hated Vista from day one.

I don't have Microsoft Office on my computer. I have only the WordPerfect 12 program, and Sun systems Open Office.

Quattro Pro is the WordPerfect spreadsheet. It seems like this happened once before, and when I re-installed it, the error still appeared.
