Vista - Error in PersonalBrain 4.5.1.5

Hi everybody, I run PersonalBrain in Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 and I encountered this error message:



When I clicked Ignore button, this message disappeared. When I clicked Retry button, this showed:


If I click Abort, it will exit.

I've tried to reinstall Windows Vista but this problem remains. What should I do to solve this problem?

With many programs that do not work, the first port of call should be to the manufacturers website to see if a newer version is available. According to the download page of the website, the latest version is 4.5.1.6 with a Beta version 5.0.0.3 also available. If neither of these help, you could also try their forums (link available from 'Support' or see separate link 'Forums') to see if someone else has come across the same problem and has managed to find a workaround or a solution for it.

Thank you for supporting! I've tried to installed Brain 4.5.1.6 and 5.0 beta but still encountered this error message. I can't visit their forum right now (I don't know why), I'll find the solutions for solving this problem later.

I have downloaded 'The Brain' and have no errors. Googling 't2kstrm.c' gives a number of responses, some of which seem to link this error, not necessarily with the program you are having problems with, to a bug in some versions of the Java runtime when it either hits a corrupted font installed in Windows' font registry, or font properties it doesn't expect (see: http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=541745). Try updating to the latest version of Java: Download Free Java Software - Sun Microsystems

Oh, silly me... That one was for x64 apps...
You need the x86 libraries ofcourse... Try these 2

VC++ 2005 SP1 x86 first:
Download details: Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)

VC++ 2008 SP1 x86 second:
Download details: Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)

If that doesn't work, try to install the non SP1 libraries too... Just to complicate things.
