hi wizkid

Vista x64 requires signed drivers to operate but you can disable this requirement on a per boot basis by F8 at boot and selecting the option to disable driver check

Have a look here for full info plus possible ways of making the change permanent

Hey wizkid,

There are newer versions of Everest that work with Vista x64, but they are no longer free,

You could also try barmans advice.

Hi wizkid,
link is here :o
http://www.vistax64.com/vista-general/33057-how-do-you-stop-vista-blocking-unsigned-drivers.html

Check on the everest site for updated vista 64 drivers if that isn't an success then disabling the check is a workaround.

from what I've read the ability to make the check permanent was stopped with SP1 but the "Test" method may still work

you may want to do a google or two to check the latest situation

Ok thanks for your reply.

I'll do that, I have downloaded a trial of Everest Ultimate and that seems to work fine. I take it there are no files corrupt in Vista? It is just an issue between that program and vista.

It is just because the free Everest version was discontinued, I use the latest version with x64 It works very well
