Eulalyzer Crash

Just letting anyone know that if you install Eulalyzer by Javacool it will crash and not run if you have DEP enabled. Stick it in the allow list of DEP.

Re: Eulalyzer Crash

hmm I had no problems with that program.

On a side note I notice that there has been no updates to that program for a long time so I just wonder if its worth submitting those EULAs.

Re: Eulalyzer Crash

I stopped using it on the last install I made for Vista x64 - but I never had to add it to the DEP list....

Re: Eulalyzer Crash

Maybe it just has a problem with 32 bit, but anyway, I could not open it at all until I stuck it in the DEP allow list and then it worked fine.

Re: Eulalyzer Crash

IIRC I never had a problem with it in Vista 32bit either....

But I cannot guarantee DEP was enabled, unless it is enabled by default....I *think* it is enabled by default but I cannot remember for certain....

Then again, did you try not having it in DEP and running as admin?

Re: Eulalyzer Crash

I myself was running as full administrator as I am now (less hassle ).

Re: Eulalyzer Crash

Yep. As soon as I take it out of the allow list and click the icon, then...

Attachment 8293
Put it back in the allow list and it works fine.

Re: Eulalyzer Crash

Very interesting, I've tested it back and forth, in the allow list, out, admin,non-admin, doesn't like the ol' deppy on my machine.
