Sp41414

I stumbled upon a file SP41414. I opened it and Insyde Flash installation window popped up warning that I am about to start BIOS update. I exited hurriedly because I have zero clue what it was.

Who knows?

Fixes an intermittent issue where the notebook may hang (stop responding) if the F9 hotkey is pressed to load a default value in the "Main" page of the "Diagnostic Logs" sub-menu.

Fixes an intermittent issue where the notebook may hang (stop responding) when upgrading the BIOS version.

Fixes an issue where there is a delay of two to four seconds after pressing the notebook power button before the notebook actually powers on.

Only if you are comfortable doing it, and if the issues that mansrm81 listed are something you need fixed.

Be warned though. One mistake while flashing your BIOS can render your motherboard dead and useless.

Only if you can afford the fine

Seriously, if you don't have any problems, it's not imperative to update your BIOS.
