my AVI files are displaying the error message C00D11B1 when i try to play them through WMP11. its only a recent problem, they worked perfectly fine last year. Around november they stopped. i havent knowingly changed any settings and they are my own video clips from my holidays. i have troubleshooted the issue and the only answers are for downloaded songs or just songs in general.

A)I found this: First delete ALL the files in the folder: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM\ as well as the files in the “Cache” folder beneath, that was the magic trick. I don’t know if you need to delete from both folders, but I did and it worked for me. Note that media player had to re-download the licenses.

B)Do you have the correct codecs? If not Download them from here: Free-Codecs.com :: Download Vista Codec Package 5.0.7 : With Vista Codec Package installed, you won't need to install any other codec or filter.
