Issues with DVD Shrink

I'm running Vista Home x64 and the last version of DVD Shrink. And before you ask, it is for legitimate use. I backed up 50 movies to my Hard Drive and it suddenly stopped working. I tried using the Administrator rights and that didn't work, also tried using the Properties/Compatibility mode, and that didn't work. If and when the programs does decide to recognize my DVD drive, it will complete ONE task. And when I try to stick another DVD in suddenly the program can't find the disk that is in the drive. My drive is fine (latest updates), it reads and writes with everyother program I have, just not DVD Shrink.
