| Vista Ultimate x64 | .NET 2.0 and Vista 64 I am trying to download a software program which requires both .NET 2.0 and Visual Studio. I am having problems getting .NET 2.0 install on my new laptop which runs Vista Ultimate X 64. I'm trying to figure out which download file to use.... Dan |

| Vista Home Premium 64 bit SP1 | Re: .NET 2.0 and Vista 64 I haven't installed on Vista64 but one of the Visual Studio editions with SP1 should fix it up. I couldn't get C# express to work correctly on 32 bit Vista and took it off. But the SP1 C# express edition went right on and worked fine. It updated the .NET during install. Probably your best bet. But I'd do whatever you can to set up for rollback if it doesn't work. edit: supposedly if you have a higher version of .NET already installed then you don't need to put on the 2.0 .NET run-time. |
