Media Center Guide Only Downloading Partial List of Channels

A recent TV guide update appears to have resulted in a loss of all channels from 32 to 71. I have COMCAST (Portland, OR) and for over 1.5 years my guide updates have always shown Ch's 1 - 71. For the last 48 hours the upper channels are not even listed. My TV can still access those channels, so they haven't been dropped. I've rebooted & downloaded the most recent guide. I've re-ran TV Setup & elected "No Guide" then rebooted & tried again, electing to use the guide, but still same results. I've been searching/reading 100's post trying to get an idea why this is suddenly happening and how to resolve. So, the guide is downloading & displaying channels, but not channels 32-71. Oh, I can manually add and access the missing channels, which will work in a pinch, but of course the channel lineup shows "no data available." Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I have a similar problem in the UK. All was working fine until a few weeks ago, then suddenly all RADIO stations EXCEPT BBC Radio 2 and 3 (and Kiss FM) now show 'No data available'! I've tried resetting etc to no avail, and the stations are available to hear (and appear in the guide - missing the program data). [TV stations are fine.]
Is this a temporary glitch - or a dispute between the guide provider (I've no idea who that is!) and the listings owners?

I didn't think to check my radio stations. Fortunately they are still there & showing data. It's only those upper TV channels that are no longer displayed. I'm hoping someone from Microsoft might catch this thread & throw us a bone. Cheers

I discovered the same issue yesterday (3_15_09). I am also a Comcast basic cable customer in west Portland and my downloaded guide stops at channel 31 now. I called Comcast this morning and their explanation is that basic cable is supposed to stop at 31 and I should not be getting any additional channels above that. My basic cable cuts out after golf channel at 33, then picks up again for E! and AMC (70 and 71). The only channels I really care about are PBS (10) and Versus (32). I asked Comcast what package I would need to get Versus and she said the starter digital package. I asked her what channel it was on for digital and she said also 32. I told her thank you very much, went back to Media Center and set my guide to download the digital channel lineup and presto - problem solved! I now see channel 32 along with a whole lot of other channels I don't get or care about. Give that a try...

But for me the thing of it is this - I still get all my Comcast channels on my TV. I get channels 1 - 71 on the TV. It's only the Media Center guide that I'm having problems with. The guide now only shows channels 1 - 31, as if I am only a basic subscriber. In fact, I can manually add the missing channels. That said, your post my offer me a clue. Perhaps for some reason my guide is coming down this way because somewhere, something is causing the guide or whatever generates the guide to believe I'm a basic subscriber.

I hate to put it this way, but I wonder if Microsoft even cares??? When you consider that this is a Windos Vista Forum & it appears no one from Microsoft has weighed in.
