RivaTuner

Hi

I have installed RivaTuner v2.24 and now it wont detect the latest Nvidia drivers. 185.85. I have reinstalled RivaTuner but it still wont detect the drivers.

Any ideas?

Yep,

Nvidia GeForce 185.85 WHQL and Rivatuner 2.24 seem messed up - Guru3D.com Forums

There are changes in internal driver versioning scheme in this family, the changes need to be supported inside RivaTuner to get these drivers detected properly. So until 2.25 is released (ETA is June), use the workaround provided by burebista a few posts above.
P.S. That is also the best place to get any info regarding RT as it is unwinders semi-official forum.

Re: RivaTuner

DO NOT DOWNLOAD 185.5. For any Graphics card it will prevent you from overclocking Because ive had that driver and i downgraded to 182 and now i can overclock perfectly its just the 185.5 drivers fault it doesnt let your rivatuner detect graphic card drivers properly so yea

That's because in the new driver there was a change of how the driver version is reported to the system. RivaTuner programists already know about that and it will be fixed in the next release. Meanwhile there is a workaround to regain the possibility to overclock using the 185.xx drivers - just open RivaTuner/System under Power user tab, and add “18585″ after ForceDriverVersion option. That did it for me, and I'm able to overclock again
