Help with ManyCam for webcams

I recently upgraded to a new computer with Vista Home Preimum 64 bit and have encountered a bit of a problem. I am able to download and install ManyCam for Vista (64 bit). However, I am having a problem with it. When I open the program and select my cam on the source page, I get a message that there was a problem with the program and it closes. I have done the uninstall and re-install of both the ManyCam and the Philips SPC 900 NC webcam.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be going on? I'm so new to Vista that I'm not sure if there is a probelm with my settings, thus not allowing the program to run correctly.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

It says: Windows has encountered a problem with the program, the program will close and windows will notify you if there is a solution.

That is as best as I could catch because it pops up then disappears pretty fast as the program closes.

Okay, just making sure it is Vista compatible. Have you tired a re-install?

Has this always occured, or has it just started? has the program ever worked?

I have done an uninstall and re-install so many times I'm about to give up. It has never worked on this new system. I was on XP before my tower crashed. When I went to this new tower with Vista on it I couldn't get ManyCam or Splitcam to work. I gave up on SplitCam because I was told it was not compatible with a 64 bit system.

Quite possible. Disable it, and then run it. For some reason, Trend Micro could be picking it up as a Trojan I have found out.
