Registry Cleaner

Good Morning!

Currently using Vista 64 Home Premimum. Can anyone recommend a good registry cleaner? I tried PCTOOLS and it promptly wrecked my registry.

Thanks!
J

Don't use any of them, I do not believe using them improve the performance of a PC but others might have different opinion.

Re: Registry Cleaner

I have the same answer. Don't do it. If you insist and know what you are doing.....really know what you're doing....CCleaner is pretty good. You'll find a lot of people here use this program. I use the cleaner from time to time but never the registry cleaner. There is no need since Windows 95....maybe 98.

Re: Registry Cleaner

I have two installed on my PC, CCleaner and Advanced system care. I used them to clean up the Reg after getting rid of programs but I always back it up first. After about a week I delete the backup. I think I'm going to quit using them though. I'll continue to use the Advanced system care but I'm going to leave the reg cleaner check mark unchecked. Too many bad stories are starting to scare me. The ASC program has a lot of other good tools check it out.
