You're going to have a problem with two antivirus programs running at the same time, I suggest that since you paid for McAfee's security suite, you might as well use it.

Running 2 anti virus progs. together on the same computer isn't considered best practice.

Re: Free Security Suite

Yes of course I am aware of running two antivirus programs is not the best, but these 2 run smooth together as a baby but xD anyway, they dont interfere with each other, dont put in quarantine each other, and sometimes one recognises some threat other dont so its very useful you know, my computer is like a fortress lol

If they both are actively scanning, then you're really playing the chance game, with isn't something I would boast about. For instance, put two roving guards on a building with the orders, "shoot on sight." You'd have 3 possible outcomes.

1. One guard gets shot as he is seen first
2. They both kill each other at the same time
3. The guards don't follow their orders and shoot immediately, approach each other cautiously to confirm whether they are both indeed on the same side, then argue about who will go which way/cover what, meanwhile the back door is completely open and the building is no longer secure.

Not sure why you think two companies who are writing software to do the same task wouldn't want to engage in a little "who's balls are bigger" battle and try to shut the other one out. And considering you're confessing you're using an illegal copy of one, that's probably the most unreasonable thing to pirate is your security software.

I think that's about 4 cents, so I'll keep quiet the next time I want to pitch in 2
