| Windows Vista Home Premium x64 | Old User Files In [Computer>C:>Users] there's a file for an old Windows user name that we no longer use that's taking up over 1/2 gig. I have deleted this name already through User Accounts in the Control Panel, but the file still remains on the hard-drive. Windows doesn't allow me to delete it for some reason - Suggestions? Thanks. |

| Windows Vista Home Premium x64 | Re: Old User Files It simply says that Access is Denied and gives me the options Try Again and Cancel. To be more specific, we created the user name Adrienne (as well as mine) when we first got the computer a few months ago. We deleted Adrienne through the Control Panel and we both just used mine for awhile. When she wanted a separate account back, I created another Adrienne user name. Now there appears to be 3 Adrienne folders, labeled like so: Adrienne (the old one; i know this because it's never updated), Guest.Adrienne-PC (all this seems to have in it is recently created desktop icons - this folder I can delete, though it seems to pop back up from time-to-time) and Adrienne.Adrienne-PC (which has all of her recent information in it). I turned UAC off long enough to try and delete the folder that way, but i got the same message. |
