Hello Oedelagt,
When you get this sorted you may want to go to the Asus site and update your Bios, (if needed), as there are some issues with this MB when resuming from sleep. It just might stop this happening again.

Hi. I was just trying to save you some aggravation. Guess I shouldn't edit posts, then change 'em a bit later. Sometimes the first version propagates. I'm sure the hibernate/sleep stuff works a lot better than when those features first came out, but they were an excuse for trouble in the beginning. Hope you get it straightened out.

Something was corrupted during the 3-4 day period he left it sleeping.

Leaving a computer on stand by/sleep for a long period of time will cause it run slower when taken out of stand by/sleep and can screw up active programs in the process.

You should take a look at the event viewer first in administrative tools.

Okay, so something was corrupted in the time period my PC was sleeping.
I will check the event viewer, and see if I can get something out of it, thanks man !
