This one is on a laptop (using vista home premium),when browsing,on IE,using the up/down scrollbar when I move the cursor from the bar the bar remians blue and still moves the screen to the movement of cursor untill I click the mousepad.

How can I re set it to work normally.?

See if this helps.
Right or left click your [Synaptics, in my case] pointing device, bottom right hand side task bar / notification area - Device Settings tab - Settings - Select Vitual Scrolling & double click it. Have a play with it until you find a setting that you are happy with.
You probably should check Sensitivity too.
Hope that this is what you are after.
Please post back & let us know.

PS Please fill in your full system specs. It would be helpful to those helping you.

Hello JMH,I've just played with the settings as You advised and it is now working sweetly.

It was down to sensitivity more than anything.

Thanks for Your help,You're a good'un.

Noticed a similar problem with my Quicken 2007 software running on the Vista x64 platform.
Rotating the mouse wheel either direction window just keeps scrolling up in only one direction, can't scroll back to bottom of register using mouse wheel. Must grab sidebar and move back to bottom.

Rebuilt this system so many times I can't count, specs are most recent build with the AMD micro ATX board and the Phenom II x3 cpu. SDRAM to 8GB, installed Vista 64 to access all the memory. Broke down and got the Asus wide screen monitor, and installed the Raedon graphics card rather than use the on-board graphics. Fun to build but I'm not a gamer.
help.........

i have the same blue scroll bar problem....when i click once to highlite and then scroll where i want ...when i slide off the scroll button it stays blue and keeps scrolling the page everywhere...i tried the virtual scrolling adjustment and either missed something..or dont know how to adjust..

all i want is, to slide off the blue scroll button into ie (without having to release the blue scroll tab) and not have the page scroll all over....

thanks in advance
