| Vista Home Premium x64 (SP2) | Re: Best Way To Download YouTube Videos? I do it several different ways: 1. Save the video as a Favorite ("Add to Favorites") just the same way you'd save any other Favorite you're downloading. 2. You can also create a free account with You Tube and create a Favorite or Playlist there -- and then download from there. 3. Real Player has a "Download this video" command which is FABULOUS because you can download any video (or audio) files from any site, incuding You Tube. Regarding the quality -- for each of the above, it's exactly the same as the original quality on You Tube, good or bad. Last edited by Imperfect1; 09-12-2009 at 07:41 AM.. Reason: Added info |

| Vista Ultimate | Re: Best Way To Download YouTube Videos? There is an even easier way, and it's free. Put the word 'kiss' in front of youtube. e.g. - if the url is 'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e1gw-fy_IE&feature=popular' - - - then put the word kiss in like this: 'http://www.kissyoutube.com/watch?v=0e1gw-fy_IE&feature=popular' It will save the file as either and FLV or MP4 depending on what you choose. Hope this helps...I had to register just to simply respond. |

What about if I want to put them on my phone or itouch, which one would be the best? Also which one is the fastest? |

When you download by adding the video as a favorite (either from the main YouTube video playing area, or your own Playlist or Favorites lists in YouTube) you are, technically, just downloading a shortcut to the video, so it's very fast, but I doubt that you can transfer the link to an ipod or phone. However, with the Real Player "Download this Video" link, you are actually downloading the video itself, so it's not as fast, but you can then transfer that video to any accessory you wish. Real Player is a free program which, to me, is worth its weight in gold for this feature alone!!! |

| Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Best Way To Download YouTube Videos? The best way is KeepVid. Get the youtube link you want, copy it from the web browser into www.keepvid.com and then select what you want. Some videos are 720p. RealPlayer can also break your pc with some of its updates and you do not need extra software. |

| Vista Home Premium x64 (SP2) | Re: Best Way To Download YouTube Videos? Sorry, I don't know how to transfer videos to your phone, but I would imagine the phone manufacturer provides instructions as to how to do it. Why don't you check their user manual (if you don't have one, you can probably download it from their website), and if that doesn't help, give their tech support department a call. |
