Vista problems

Hello.

I would first start off by showing my specs.

Core 2 Duo T9550 2.66GHz (2 CPUs)
4.00GB RAM DDR3
Vista Home Premium x86
130M GT 512MB DDR3

It is clear that aero are not supposed to cause lag with my spec. But my Aero lags too often. It is close to rare to have Aero not lagging.

If I drag on the desktop, I see my mouse is moving rather slow. Also when I try to scroll something in ANY application.
Here is the video showing symptom same to mine (I didn't upload this video).
YouTube - Vista Aero Glass Slow Scrolling Laggy

The thing is that symptoms I listed above happens quite often. For the scrolling lag, if I scrolling up and down for 4 seconds repeatedly, it doesn't happen any more.

Here are things I've tried:
1. Format -> Reinstallation of Vista
2. Driver Updates (Tweak, official from Nvidia, official from LG.
3. Driver clean

I only have kaspersky running at the background which doesn't cause the symptom at all since I've tried disabiling.

It would be a great help if someone could help me please.
Thank you and have a great day.

Re: Vista problems

Check out your device manager and see if there are problems with any driver. 4GB is certainly enough to run Aero.
Please check your bios and make sure your are not OCing.

Re: Vista problems

I know. But the dude said he updated his driver from Nvidia.
Besides checking device manager and Windows logs for errors, he could also "borrow" another video card to see if that is the source of the problem.

Re: Vista problems

Oh hello, lemur and zigzag3143. Thank you guys for your response.
But I doubt its graphic drvier problem because I tried so many versions and they all happened to cause laggging with Aero. I also tried cleaning drivers between installing different versions.

There are no errors or anything on device manager. And I've checked bios and certainly I'm not overclocking.

Any another suggestions?

I would love this problem to be fixed. Please help.

Other things it can be is directX, you can run dxdiag to find out what is installed. Memory (no idea how much you have).

If you haven't could you fill in your system specs so we know what kind of hardware you have.

I don't get it. I specified the system specs on the first topic, the one started this thread.
Did you read it?

The version of directX is 10. I installed 9.0c also to play some games.

Im sorry. If you put your specs in the bottom left corner they stay so that for every post from then on we know what hardware. if you put them in this post we forget about them by the next page. Not critical.
