Installation Server Not responding

When I tried to install new Trend Micro software today on Laptop with Vista Home, it seemed to be installing until "Windows Intall" came on ... that's when it froze. I waited forever, and finally got the message ... "Install Server Not Responding". I don't think the problem is the software because it installed OK on two other computers that have XP. Can anyone help?

By Installation Server do you mean a Program that you downloaded to help install other programs? (Allowing you to pause and start the download at any time). If this is the case try right clicking on the 'down-loader program' and click "Run as administrator." You will have to then click "Continue" and see if this helps the problem.

Let me know how this goes.

Thank you for your reply, Sean. I was "installing" the software from a cd but everytime I tried, the Windows Installer would come on (interrupting the process) and after a very long time, would freeze. I kept getting the message " Installation Server not responding". After trying 3 times, I brought up the task manager and closed the windows installer ... and Trend Micro finally continued to install!! Yay, it worked. So, I have my virus protection, but believe I still have a problem somewhere related to Windows. But for today, I'm satisfied. Thank you for trying to help me.

Yeah no problem. I am guessing the problem was related to compatibility issues between Windows and the program, so personally, i wouldn't worry much about it.
