I received the following error message when trying to listen to a sample of a song in the iTunes store and after listening to one song in iTunes 9:

"iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit with 2046 MB RAM on a Dell Inspiron 9400; Version of iTunes is iTunes 9.

Hello momof3boys, and welcome to this great Vista Forums. I sincerely wish you a happy and rewarding time here.

Before I get into my recommendations, it will help the helpers, if you first go to your User CP and complete as much of My System Specs as you can. If you need any assistance in gathering the information, just post a help request back here.

OK. What I recommend that you do at this stage, is gather together some more useful information. To do this, a snip image of the Problem Report will be useful.

Click on Start>Control Panel [Classic View]>SelectProblem Reports and Solutions>Select View Problem History.

On the new page under the heading Product, you should see an entry listing for iTunes, reporting that it stopped responding and was closed, or something similar. Right Click on the iTunes listed line and select View Problem Details.

A new page will open giving a full description of the issues which caused your problem.

Snip and save the whole image of that Problem Reports and Solutions page, then come back to the Forum, upload the file from where you have saved it, and post it here. If you are uncertain about the "Snip" feature in Vista, then come back and say so. Help is here for that too.

Now, while I don't claim the expertise to be able to help you further, there are many other more qualified Members who are ready and willing to help and try to resolve your problem....... Members who eat this sort of stuff for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Note that you may also find that this post gets moved over to the Sound and Audio Forum. But thats OK because you will automatically be linked to your post. Then again, the Moderators may just leave it here.

Let us know how you get on, and hope that this helps.:D
