The installation of microsoft office 2010 requires that msxml version 6.10.1129.0 be installed on your computer. Install the component and re-run the setup.Correct the issue(s) and re-run the setup."

I downloaded MSXML but it won't install
Anyone got this issue??

might want to uninstall the other versions of office first. just save your .pst files etc and give it a whirl then, having more than one office is like having more than one anti-virus - they fight for who gets to open it.

no they are installed as seperate applications.. you can have two or three version of Office installed How to run multiple versions of Office on one computer (refer to this document)
What i came across is that the Laptop do not have sp3 installed and the msxml version 6.10.1129.0 is included in the sp3.. so installing the sp3 right now.. will post the outcome..

If you read that KB article, it says that it has problems when you install different versions of office on the same pc, and explains to you how to install them so that you dont. You said you were having a problem with 2010 and I thought having multiple versions would conflict (which this article proves is correct)
and I would have thought someone who has done some background research on installing multiple versions of office would have updated to SP3 long ago (it did come out over 15 months ago

ohh no I got it that set up for a client.. I use all version of Office as well. I manage a terminal server environment and doing my own windows updates wow just can't have the time for my pc to be restarting or on doing updates mode.. hehe
there is a screen shot.. all the office can be easily installed, need to choose the costomize mode and not upgrade.. then they will install as different applications..
