You can download eFax on a 64 bit computer, but for some reason, you just can't download it directly from the eFax website. I downloaded my eFax and eFax Messenger from PCWorld.com, and you can also download them from CNet.com. Here are some links for you. I suggest you download both the eFax and the eFax Messenger, because eFax Messenger is the app that gives you all of the eFax options and the Shell.
PCWORLD.COM: http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,6286-order,1-page,1-c,alldownloads/description.html

Also try: CNET.COM: http://www.download.com/Messenger-for-eFax/3000-2064_4-10601634.html

Re: Fax1.com has 64-bit Online Fax Version

Many of us had the 64-bit problem.

Fax1.com finally has a 64 bit version that works great on XP and Vista. It is the most reasonable online fax service available, Fax1: Internet Fax Solutions , and has served me well since 2001 (except for the period it didn't have a 64 bit version). All you need is an internet connection. It sends faxes in a host of software formats, Fax1: Internet Fax Solutions . It has 32 and 64 bit software versions. You maintain a trivial credit balance that can be paid from www.paypal.com that does not expire if unused for extended periods. There is no monthly charge.

While it also provides an inbound fax number for you for a fee, I use a free www.j2.com number that receives voicemails and faxes and forwards them to you by email.

I am able to Download the file just fine but when I try to install it I get error saying ''eFax Messenger can not be installed on Windows XP/Vista x64'" Not sure how to get it install in 64 bit machine.. Is there any work around?

Did you try downloading and installing it from the suggested CNet and PC World sites? I have Vista x64 and got the same error message when I tried to download and install directly from eFax (JFax - same thing) --- but I was able to install from the CNet and PC World downloads.

Here is an update ----

First I tried PC world site, for download it redirect to efax site. (that is where I download the file few days ago)

Then I tried CNet site, when I try to install it, I still get same error ''eFax Messenger can not be installed on Windows XP/Vista x64'"

PC world and Cnet Site only allow to install latest version of efax, pervious version not available for download. If I may can I ask you which version of efax software, you are using? So Far I only found link to download Version 4.4.0.514

Sorry you're having so much trouble with eFax sarai. My version is 4.3.409.0 -- so it is an older version -- and I don't know if/where it would still be available. Also, I don't know exactly what the difference is, but my version 4.3.409.0 is, technically, the version of the eFax MESSENGER. (I don't seem to have a separate eFax app -- the two apps, eFax and eFax Messenger, seem to be rolled into one.)
