Paragon is very good for servers or situations where you have to make frequent backups. The writing of differential backups is extremely fast (in my test just a couple of minutes). But as usual with those advanced programs, you need to do some learning. To purchase it is pretty expensive - $80 last time I looked. The product key for my last free version that I won in a contest expired after some time. So you may expect the same with this freebie.

Hello Whs,

You are right about Paragon products. Please, note you can burn bootable CD and use this software on as many systems as you like.

Thank you Martee for the info. But I am just playing around with it. Since a few years I use Norton Ghost (which I would not recommend for a newbie - it took me a year before I was able to comfortably manhandle it). On Win7 I use the free Macrium ( http://www.vistax64.com/software/261727-image-your-system-free-macrium.html ) which is great and easy. For the wife I set up a Maxtor One Touch Manager which literally works with one touch of the button on the disk. So right now all grounds are covered.

Sure, no problem. Frankly, I was using the Spotmau Power Suite as my most favorite imaging software, but recently I switched to the Paragon Drive Backup 9.0 Pro and now will have another excellent one at hand.

Usually, I like such apps on the booting discs, which I use to make the image or backup and to recover the system from the backup.

Btw, if you are still interested in the CD, go to Program Files/Paragon Software/ISO and copy this ISO or burn just in case if you need it later.

Cheers...:)
